對某些不信任你能力的同事,要應付他們,你就要修煉你的社交成熟度,因為你原來本可能是比他們低級的,現在你跟他們同級甚至比他們高一級,那麼你就要學會早早為這個提升做好準備,一早就跟你的同事打好關係,你要建立一個支持你的小組。為了避免會出現驚慌失措的情況,你應事事先作好準備,亦要讓你的同事明白,你是剛剛升上這個職位,你需要他們支援你,而同時,你要令他們感到你任這個職位能對他們帶來某些正面的幫助。這樣他們不但希望你能坐這個位,還希望你坐得好因為這樣他們也有既成的利益。其實,他們需要的是一種受尊重的感覺,你能讓他們有被尊重的感覺的同時又能幫到他們,他們就會讓幫你上位。
